Finding popular topics or people on social media can be tricky, to say the least! There are many ways to do this, but one of the most effective is by looking at what everyone else is talking about.

What we refer to as the “trending” topic or person comes from an app called Tweet Re-Tweet (TRT). This free tool allows you to add anyone or anything to its trending list by latching onto their re-tweets.

The TRT website lists over 200 different sources for trends, including politics, sports, entertainment, and more. All you have to do is pick your poison and watch the trends roll in.
