How It Started How It's Going Trend

For many years now, people have been talking about the vernacular of our time being something called the “toxic” language or slang style. Some say it is even an epidemic that is destroying our society. There are several reasons why this has happened, but one of the biggest factors seems to be the availability and use of technology.
With technology becoming more advanced every year, we as humans seem to be getting addicted to it. Technology like the smartphone makes using it easy and accessible for almost anyone. This raises another concern though; how much do these devices influence us while we use them?
We are constantly exposed to the device and its apps, features, and software through repeated use. These things can sometimes influence what kind of vocabulary users pick up. Due to the ease of access, most young kids today grow up with digital literacy which helps contribute to their linguistic growth.
This article will talk about some examples of common phrases that are negatively influenced by tech stress. Also, there will be some ways you can help prevent such phrases from taking over your conversations and workplace.

This past week I got into an argument with my best friend about whether or not people should be allowed to “go too hard” at spring dances. We both agreed that it was annoying when people spend way more time dancing than anyone else, but then get mad when someone calls them out for it.
He mentioned some examples of this happening at his school where students would go crazy during football games and then get upset if other people talk about how much they were watching the game. They say things like, "It's your job as a fan to enjoy the game!" or even worse, "Why are you so obsessed with the game?"
I totally agree that there is a fine line between being engaged in something and going overboard, but at the same time, why can't people enjoy the sport they love? Why must everyone feel obligated to watch every minute of the game? Letting off steam is important for most people!
After we discussed this concept for awhile, he brought up another example. He said sometimes after a basketball game, people will start talking about what happened in the game and how great certain players played. Then others will get really passionate about the opposite side of the topic.
This happens mostly because people want to share their opinion about the game, but maybe they are just not very good at supporting others' theories. When this does happen, some fans may get annoyed and speak up before moving on.
How It Started

In early 2014, Alyssa Milano shared her story of how she was sexually harassed by the company that made its headquarters in Brooklyn, New York.
She had received a lot of backlash for agreeing to do the event, so instead she posted an open letter explaining why it is important to talk about sexual harassment.
Since then, women have come forward with their own stories about men who make sexist comments or take advantage of power positions at work to harass others. This has caused many to speak out as well.
Many people learn how to cope with or even laugh off these experiences when they were younger, but it is still not okay to let this continue.
It creates an uncomfortable workplace environment for those who are subjected to such behavior and can be damaging to their career if they report it.
This is one reason why most people don’t say anything-even though we know what happens to us is wrong and shouldn’t be done.
But speaking up could help you move onto another job more quickly, reduce your stress level, and give you some sense of justice.

This past week, we asked you to tell us how your fashion style has evolved over the last year. You responded with some impressive stories!
Many of you mentioned that your fashion styles have fluctuated season to season, depending on what items are in-and-out at this time. Others said that your fashion styles have shifted due to cost or limitations. A few shared how they're learning to appreciate different looks and changing their wardrobe to match whatever mood or state of mind they're in.
All of these are great examples of how incorporating new trends into your personal style is a good thing. Trends come and go, but staying in style is always better than chasing them!
So, we wanted to take another look back one month ago when we asked you about your fashion evolution during The Great One Product Hunt Giveaway Event. Since then, we've gathered even more data and insights about your fashion habits.
What we found was quite interesting!
A large majority (over 70%) of survey respondents indicated that they plan to continue investing in fashionable products for self-care and/or professional use. Almost half (48%) also stated that they will be adding new products to their collection throughout the rest of 2018.
How It Started

As we mentioned earlier, street style is an ever-evolving beast. Looking through runways and into online boutiques, you'll find new styles being adapted and mixed with old ones to create newer looks.
In fact, some say that what people call "street fashion" isn't actually fashionable at all! According to them, these trends were simply designed to be seen — nothing more than flashy clothes for rich kids.
But this argument ignores the true spirit of street fashion: expression. More importantly, it downplays the hard work put in by those who create and implement new designs.
Designers not only have to come up with interesting concepts, but they also must research how to make their look practical while staying within budget.
And even after everything is paid for, they still have to search or source materials like tights or sweatshirts to include in their design. All of this takes time, effort, and creativity.
It’s not just enough to go out and buy whatever things you want because you can’t afford something else.
How It's Going

This past year has been an incredible one for fashion. A never-ending stream of new trends have emerged, making it hard to keep up with all of them!
Many people credit runway shows as the source of these new looks. Technically speaking, that is where most styles get started. But once they are seen in real life or online, then they are spread like wildfire.
Runway shows may be inspired by current trends, but they are also a source of inspiration for others to create their own designs. Many designers take what they see and add their own unique touches to make newer versions of the style.
And while some might think that the person wearing the look would be the only one to know if it was popular, anyone can copy a trend and become famous for it!
It is very common to hear stories about someone who copied a design from a magazine or website and made lots of money off of it. So, even though this isn’t necessarily true for everyone, you should not assume that anything is too expensive or cool because no one else can afford or wear it.
There are many ways to earn extra cash by copying and adding your personal touch to old designs.
How It Started

This week’s topic is how it started! Let’s talk about something that has become pretty popular again, re-enactments. Many people have discussed whether or not they like them and why but few know where these recreated scenes come from.
The first recorded re-enacted movie scene comes from Ancient China. In fact, there are stories of people doing this as early as 2,000 years ago! The story goes that Emperor Wu Zhuang wanted to know what his soldiers were up against while at war so he organized a mock battle with actors.
These re-enactment movies we have today actually make their roots in this ancient practice. Today, professionals do it right for an audience to see. Technically speaking, these films are called documentary style filmmaking.
A second way to describe re-enacted film scenes is dramatic filming. Technically, you cannot call it documentary style filmmaking because it is scripted.
But since most audiences can tell when someone is acting and when they are not, it works almost as well. Both types of re-enacted movie scenes require a lot of effort and preparation before shooting.
Agents, script writers, directors, producers, wardrobe, location scouting, props, and more all need to be prepared ahead of time. Because of this, professional re-enacting has its own team members that work together to keep expenses down.
How It's Going

In early February, we started receiving reports of people experiencing muscle pain in their shoulders and back. Then their hips and knees began to feel tight or stiff. Some reported feeling tired all the time, even after sleeping well the night before.
Many patients mentioned having headaches that would not go away. And some said they was feeling anxious or depressed.
We also noticed changes in how their skin looked and felt. Many patients told us that when they wash themselves, it feels like sand is rubbing off them. Their hair seemed thinner than normal, and some complained about that.
Research shows that chronic stress can affect your body’s ability to produce hormones such as cortisol. Cortisol helps regulate blood pressure, encourages growth and repair of tissues, and helps preserve lean tissue by promoting bone remodeling.
It can also influence the way you feel, physically and emotionally. People who have been stressed out may suffer from anxiety or depression. You may be more likely to gain weight and develop risk factors for diseases like diabetes and heart disease.
How It Started
This article is going to talk about one of our favorite trends of the past few years: relaxed, casual hairstyles. Many people have adopted this style because it is easy to do! You can create most look with just some products and pictures or tutorials online.
Many celebrities have made their own unique styles famous, such as Taylor Swift’s flirty luscious hair-bob or Katy Perry’s shaggy beach wave.
Casual hairstyles are great because they are simple to do but look professional. Neat waves and curls are your best friends here!
There are many ways to relax your hairs natural structure. Using heat protection tools like flat irons and hairdryers will prevent breakage and make styling easier.
Removal techniques such as combing through and pinning out are also good practices for more formal looks.
