Check Out Your Recent Activity

One of the first things you should do when using YouTube is check out your recent activity. This feature allows you to view all of the content you had watched recently, as well as comments and reactions you left while watching a video.

By clicking on My Channel in the top menu bar, you can then choose View Settings from here. You can also access these settings by going directly to www.youtube.com/mychannel. Here, you can find Recent Activity under Account Settings.

These settings show you everything from whether someone commented on a video to whether someone subscribed to your channel. All this information is easily accessible!

How To Add People As Friends On YouTube

YouTube does not automatically suggest who you add to your friends list, however. Luckily, it is easy to do so!

To add someone as a friend, click the drop down arrow next to Their Videos.

Look at the top bar

Most of them also give you quick access to their dashboard so that you can easily add or remove companies or products as an ambassador.

The feature we are going to talk about now is called Channel Settings. This allows you to check if one of your channels has been disabled, which is great because you will know if someone deleted their account or if they just didn’t log into their account for some reason!

First things first though, let us go ahead and install the YouTube app onto your Android device. If you already have the app installed then skip down to step 2. Otherwise, click here to download the free app!

Once downloaded, open up the app and sign in to your Google accounts if you use the app already. After that, close the app and launch it again. Now, hit the menu button (the three dots) and select ‘Settings.’

Now, under Privacy settings, tap YouTube channel info. Here, you will see all sorts of information about your channel – including any disabling notifications.

Look around the app

The best way to find what people are talking about online is by looking at the app itself. You can do this by going through the features of the app, exploring how they work, and then diving in and checking out the trends.

Some apps have very specific functions that set them apart from other similar applications. For example, if you like listening to music, there’s an Explore section where you can browse genres and pick any one to listen to.

By using such apps as a reference, you can tell whether or not this new video content is anything worth watching. More often than not, things that get popular quickly don’t really hold up well for long.

There's also a Settings option within most apps where you can manage your account information, opt-out of advertising, etc.

This lets you make sure you're completely removed from the service, but also makes it easier to leave should you want to. It also gives you more control over who has access to your account.

Pay attention to the trending videos

A few ways to check your favourite apps like YouTube are by looking at the trends of the channel, the genre or topic of the video, or the comments.

You can also look through the bar charts for features such as view counts, comment numbers, and so on.

There you can find out what is popular with users and if it is in any way promoting negative emotions, then you should probably watch it less often.

Watch videos and comment on them

This is one of the most important things you can do as a YouTube user. If you want your channel to go up, run a video or series of videos!

The more people that watch your content the higher your view count will be which helps promote your account.

By creating engaging videos with interesting content, you’ll win followers and eventually subscribers. Your followers will also influence new users to follow you by commenting and sharing your videos.

If there are already lots of comments and shares for a certain video, then trying to join in will help boost engagement even more.

You can check out what other popular videos are getting praise or criticism from the audience and imitate those.

Become a YouTube subscriber

The next step in having full access to all of your favorite videos is to become a YouTube subscriber!
As we mentioned before, you do not need to have an account on YouTube to watch most things. However, if you want to be able to comment or like comments and likes, then you will need to create one.

Once you are logged into your new account, go to Settings and look under My Services. Here, you can check whether you are subscribed to any of YouTube’s content or not. If you aren’t, you should probably add yourself to that list!

You also get the option to manage subscriptions here as well. You can choose to either keep them private or make them public depending on what levels of privacy you desire for this channel.

And just like with other apps, you can easily switch between using the app and the browser version of YouTube by choosing which one you would rather use at the moment.

Watch videos and subscribe to channels

A great way to find new content is to watch videos. You can choose to start with free videos or ones that are paid for.

There you can view all sorts of things! From entertainment to educational material, it does not matter what genre the video falls under.

You do not have to pay to see something new. There may be some replays though if you want to check out a movie or show more than once.

The best tip I have is to make sure you are investing in your YouTube channel by creating good content. If there is a theme to your content, try finding other videos within that style to create an episode off of that!

By investing in your channel, you will get more engagement which could lead to more views and subscribers.
