How To Manage Social Media For Clients

As your business grows, so does your social media presence. It is important to have different levels of control depending on what type of audience you want to reach your message will not show all at once.
As your business owner, there are times when you need to take a break and let someone else manage your accounts. This is especially true as your profile pictures, cover photos, and/or logos for your account may be copyrighted or require licensing.
Having other people run these accounts can backfire if they do not know how to use social media properly! If this happens, you could face lawsuits or worse, lost business due to bad marketing strategies.
Social media has become an integral part of our lives. People actively monitor their accounts to see what others posted, learn new tricks, and connect with friends and family. Therefore, it is very important that you understand the field before trying to guide others.
This article will go into detail about why having other people manage your social media needs to be done carefully, and what types of professionals are needed. We will also talk about some situations where it is okay to give up control completely.
Make a list of what times of the day are most popular
It is very important that you determine when your clients would like to log onto their accounts the most. This way, you can schedule these activities at those times!
For example, if they prefer to check Instagram early in the morning, then you could set an alarm or notification reminder for just before dawn so that it happens with minimal distractions.
By doing this, they will be more likely to use the app since it’s already awake and ready. The same goes for logging off at night; make sure there’s something planned for them to do after work so that they don’t stay logged on longer than needed.
There should also be some sort of break between jobs during the days, especially if they’re working long hours.
Be consistent

When starting out as your client’s social media manager, make sure you are consistently posting quality content across all of their accounts. Your clients will notice when you aren’t putting in the effort into producing engaging posts that they would like to see.
They may even ask why you didn’t do something today!
As mentioned before, there is no one size fits all approach to keeping up with the ever-changing world of social media. This can be tricky at times since people have different personal styles.
What works well for one person’s account might not work as well for theirs. There are several free tools that can help monitor and manage various social networks for you.
You should always keep an eye on your clients’ pages to see what is working and what isn’t. If you find that some posts seem to get less engagement than others, maybe it’s time to brainstorm new ideas or strategies.
It’s never a bad idea to reevaluate your strategy, but only if you want to improve things for your client. You could also try reaching out to them directly to determine whether this change makes sense.
Link your social media profiles together

It is very important to link all of your accounts under one account so that you can easily access them and update everything at once. This will save you time in the long run, and will help you keep up with all of your posts!
Many people start out by linking their Facebook profile to their Twitter account, but then get busy and leave it fall into place weeks or even months later.
By linking these two accounts now, you will be able to do just that – stay organized and on top of things!
You should also connect your Instagram and YouTube accounts to your main account. This way, you will be able to add pictures and videos to your other accounts using only your own personal photos and videos!
Lastly, make sure to connect your email address to each individual account so that you do not need to create new ones every time you want to update someone’s profile. You can choose to use Gmail, Yahoo!, Outlook, AWeber, etc. as an easy-to-use service provider.
Share blog post links to social media sites

It is your responsibility as their digital marketing professional to ensure that they are aware of, and use, all of the major social networking platforms.
Making sure this happens depends largely upon sharing appropriate business blogs and articles that relate to the platform.
By sharing these posts, you will help them connect with other people, and hopefully create conversations or interactions that benefit your client!
Social proof is one powerful way to achieve this – by sharing similar content, you can inspire others to follow along.
Running an account on a popular site like Facebook or Twitter gives your clients some quick initial momentum, but it also creates additional work for you.
As a digital marketer, there’s always something new to do next. Keeping up-to-date takes time away from doing other things that matter — which is why I recommend just using the free versions.
There’t much you can do without permissions, at least not if you want to run effective campaigns.
Respond to comments and questions

It’s important to respond to comments and messages on all of your social media platforms. If you’re too busy, you can schedule some time each day or week to reply to those comments, messages, and conversations.
By responding to others, you show that you take time to listen and understand other people’s points of view. This is particularly helpful if their comment seems like it might be in response to a previous conversation where you had an argument with them.
If they commented about something that you disagreed with, you can now address the topic more factually instead of getting into another round of arguments.
Your followers will appreciate you taking the time to talk to them, even if you don’t agree with what they say. They’ll feel heard and valued!
And for your own sake, try to focus on what things make sense to you and yours. Refrain from commenting just to defend yourself or get back at someone else.
Do not post everything that your clients say should be shared

As mentioned before, you as their social media manager do not have to agree with what they tell you to post or discuss in posts.
If you are able to recognize an important topic then add some content about it to show off your talent. Or create an interesting discussion if someone else has already done so!
But otherwise, let them speak for themselves!
Your job is to help promote their business, not boost their image. If you notice something questionable being posted, take action by reporting it or changing the settings to prevent future comments.
Help! I’m too stressed out to focus on my business

This is not your average statement. “Help me manage social media for clients,” cannot be said with more emphasis than that. If you are in or aspiring towards business success, there will almost certainly come a time when you need to ask someone else to help you run some programs for your company.
As professional service providers in our field, we all depend on each other for success. Reaching out to others for help is integral to achieving yours. In fact, it’s something most people in this industry should do at least once during their career.
Running social media campaigns can feel like a never-ending job hunt. You have to find and recruit the right professionals to handle certain accounts for your company, then keep them happy so they don’t take off without paying you. And don’t forget about monitoring their work!
It's also important to note that even though these professionals may no longer work for your company, they still want to build relationships with you. They might one day offer their services to you or tell you who they worked for now.
Create a marketing team that will help you

It’s easy to get distracted by all of the different tasks that must be done, so it makes sense to have people who are trained in various areas work together.
Having someone else do some of your social media posts can save you time!
By having other people take care of certain parts of your online presence, you’ll have more time to focus on what matters most – running your business.
That person might coordinate with you to find the right balance of content when posting pictures or comments, or they could handle responding to comments or messages. Or maybe they’d like to update your profile or add links or features to your account.
It really depends on what types of things you want to use the platform for and how much time you want to devote to each task.
