How To Remove Trending Searches From Google

Recent changes to how Google indexes websites mean that it may not be as easy to remove search engine rankings for certain keywords or phrases. If you're looking to make some serious progress with your online business, this is something to keep an eye out for.
It's important to remember that SEO isn't a one-and-done process. It's an ongoing thing that requires your constant attention. That said, there are several things you can do to prevent recent index shifts from sticking around for a little while.
In this article, we'll talk about three ways to remove trending searches from Google. At the end of the day, no matter which method you choose, your goal should always remain the same: improve the quality and relevancy of content on your website.
Removing low-quality content is one of the best strategies for improving the overall health of your site. Content that doesn’t add value to your audience will only hurt your efforts to grow your online presence.
Log into your Google account

If you are ever asked to add or remove an app, website, or product that is trending, then it’s important to know how to navigate this within your Google accounts.
If you are ever asked to add or remove an app, website, or product that is trending, then it’s important to know how to navigate this within your Google accounts.
First, you will want to log in to your Google account. This includes your Gmail, YouTube, Google+, etc. You can access these from one place- google.com/account/.
Once logged in, go onto “My Products and Services” directly under your profile picture. Here you will see all of your products and services connected to Google.
You may also notice that some of these drop down menus have a gear button next to them which contains settings. To find the setting for this article, go into Settings > Search and limit searches to only apps, sites, and smart lists. (This does not apply if you are using the mobile version of search.)
How to permanently delete a trend list
To completely get rid of a trending item, first make sure no one has saved it as a favorite yet. Then, head over to My Product and Service -> View All => Add Or Delete For ALL. Press edit and choose Trash Can.
Enable “History”

Now that you have removed all references to your website from search results, it is time to remove other important information about your site as well!
Google historically would keep track of how frequently you visited a page by adding this data into its cache. But now that feature is opt-in only, which means you must actively enable it if you want it to work.
By default, this tool is off, making this step unnecessary unless you wanted to make sure it was working. If so, turn it on here in Settings > History ->Enable history.
Once done, re-enter your Google account and test out the changes by doing some searches.
Disable “History”

There is an option in your Google search bar that can help you remove some of the less relevant searches from your browsing history. It is called History, and it makes sense how it functions. As you use the browser to visit different sites, those sites leave traces behind in the form of cookies and other data.
Google collects this information to improve its services for users. For example, if you visited a site one month ago that has gone out of business, then Google will know about it so it does not have to redownload the pages every time you go onto their website or browse the web at large.
This article will talk more in depth about what types of data are collected when you activate History in the Google Search app, as well as some things you can do to limit this data collection even further.
Create a new search engine

A few months ago, we discussed how to create your own search engine so that you can in-source all of your favorite sources and make them the top results.
Now it is time to test out this theory!
Start by creating a free account at Qwant, then download their extension for Chrome or Firefox. Once installed, simply open up the browser and you are ready to go!
Qwant works similarly to other search engines like Yahoo or Bing, but they have some key differences. For one, it does not use an algorithm to determine which sites show up in its results. Instead, Qwant uses crowdsourced voting to do that.
By having people vote for and add sites to be displayed, Qwant gets rid of the bias typically present when using algorithms to rank websites.
Another important difference comes from the way Qwant monetizes its service. Rather than relying on ads, Qwant collects revenue through affiliate marketing. This means that the more traffic a site receives via Qwant, the more money that website makes due to Qwant’s high quality content.
Set up your new search engine

Now that you have picked your favorite search engine, it is time to configure it! First, you will want to go into your Settings area of the platform and then in the Search section, you can choose which engines you would like to add as favorites or keep defaulted.
You can also rename the account so it is more easily identified if you ever need to switch back again! Once done, test out your new search engine by doing a general google search or type in some specific keywords and see how their results compare to the original one.
Use the new search engine

Recent trending searches are not only annoying, but also give an inaccurate picture of what people are looking for. If you’re tired of seeing the same lists of popular searches every day, there is an easy way to remove them.
We have gathered some tips that will help you do this, so keep reading!
1) Create your own list of dead links
This can be done by going through each of the different sections on Search.Google.com (the official website for Google search). Here, you can add all of the domains or URLs of sites that are no longer working.
By adding these into your account, it will prevent them from showing in recent trends. It will also rid you of any broken link messages which sometimes occur when pages disappear.
2) Find out who owns the domain
Once you have found the URL(s) that are causing problems, the next step is to find out who owns the domain.
This is usually done via WhoIs, DomainTools, or Public Records websites. These will tell you the names of the companies that own the site, as well as their contact information.
3) Contact them if possible
If you are able to access the web at the time, you can go directly to one of these sites and look up the owners of the given url. But if you cannot, then move onto the next tip.
Create a new profile

If you are getting too many results for a search, it may be because your current profile has been compromised.
It is very common for people to make fake accounts in order to gain access to personal information or even credit cards from users of a site. Once this information is gathered, these individuals will create an account using that person’s name and add them as a friend or family member so they can access the content or tools on the site.
By creating a second account with the same username and password, the intruder gets full access to all of your private info. This also happens quite frequently where someone finds out another user’s credentials and makes an account under that name!
Google alerts are a great way to stay aware of what sites and services are being discussed online. However, there is a way to remove pre-existing discussions about certain topics from your google alert by deactivating your existing profile. You can do this here: https://wwwuser.google.com/settings/takeout/.
Link your profile to your new search engine
Now that you have chosen what search engine you want to use, it is time to link your account with it.
This process will remove any pre-existing accounts linked to Google (for example, if you used Gmail then you must link that to your new search engine).
By linking your old accounts to our tool, we can also add your existing saved passwords as well! This way you do not need to create an account with us from scratch, you already have one.
