J&j Marketing

As mentioned before, marketing is an ever-evolving field that keeps moving at a lightning speed. Technology has completely changed the way we market products and services, and new strategies are always coming up to take over the marketplace.

The way businesses use technology to promote their companies changes quickly as well. Tools such as social media, blogs, and advertisements have become staples in any successful marketing campaign.

However, one of the lesser used tools for marketers is something called “word of mouth” or “consumer word of mouth” marketing. This does not refer to when you tell someone about a product, but instead they talk about it themselves!

This article will go into more detail about how this type of marketing can benefit your business and what types of industries may be able to use it.

Different types of marketing

Marketers use different types of media to convey your company’s messages and advertise products or services. These advertising strategies include creating advertisements, establishing accounts on social media sites, producing promotional material and videos, putting up signs and banners, and distributing flyers or pamphlets.

The most common type of marketing is called advertisement. Advertisements are usually for a product or service that the advertiser wants to get people to buy. Companies spend lots of money on advertisements because it works! People who see an advertised item will likely want to purchase it.

Another form of marketing is what we call promotion. A business might promote their item by giving it away free or lowering the price slightly. This helps increase sales since people can afford to buy the item. Or they may do a giveaway where everyone gets something special from the company.

Digital marketing

As we have seen, digital marketing is an ever-evolving field that keeps coming up with new tricks to help you market your business. Gone are the days when you could just put up advertisements in the newspaper or radio station and expect people to notice you!

Now, everything from social media sites to YouTube videos to blogs exist as tools for marketers to use to get exposure for their companies. And all of these mediums offer different levels of engagement which can be measured so that you know what works and what doesn’t.

Overall, using technology to connect with potential customers and keeping up-to-date on the trends is a great way to promote your company.

Traditional marketing

While traditional forms of marketing have their place, there are now more efficient ways to market your business. With the explosion of technology, you can create digital advertisements or brands that cost no money!

Marketing via social media sites like Facebook and Twitter is a great way to spread your brand’s message to potential customers. Companies use these platforms to share information about products and services and get feedback from consumers – very valuable for them.

Traditional media such as newspapers and magazines also offer powerful advertising opportunities. Businesses will write articles and advertise in the papers to gain attention and influence other readers.

These types of advertisements are usually quite expensive, which could be why most businesses do not afford them.

Online marketing

While most people associate online marketing with advertisements, it is actually much more than that. To truly understand the term ‘marketing’ you first need to look at its definition. According to dictionary.com, market means “a geographic area where consumers of good or service will gather in small groups to compare prices, qualities, and services”.

That description sounds like what most people refer to as advertising, right? Well, according to that same source, advertisement is defined as “the use of media to promote or influence purchasing decisions of specific products or brands”.

So how do we combine these two definitions into one? How can we make the word ‘marketing’ mean promoting or influencing buying decisions for a product/service?

We make the word ‘marketing’ focus on creating conditions conducive to purchases. We grow the audience for a product by placing ads about the product, spreading awareness of the product, etc. We create condition by giving incentives to purchase the product (discounts, free items, etc.).

This way, the product becomes less important than the incentive to buy it! This is why advertisers spend so much money on commercials: they know if someone wants to watch an episode of your show, they will probably buy your car washer or vacuum cleaner.

Email marketing

When talking about email marketing, there are two main parts of the message that marketers tend to overlook. The first is your sender’s address or “return address” as it’s called.

This is the place where people can reply (or contact you back) because most email programs have this feature. By using your full name as the return address, you give yourself some leeway in case someone wants to write a letter or ask for help with something.

The second important part is the subject line. This should be short and catchy so your reader will take note and click through to read the rest of the email.

Your readers might be very busy, so they may not pay much attention to the subject if there’s too long or nothing special about it. Make sure to use a relevant topic and bullet point to grab their attention.

Social media marketing

As we mentioned before, social media is a very popular way to spread your business’s name. Almost every major company uses at least one type of social media to increase their exposure.

By having a presence on these sites, you can advertise your products and services or create conversations that lead to advertising for your product or service.

Most people use Twitter, Facebook, and YouTube to interact with others so why not use this resource to promote yours? By creating content designed to appeal to your audience, you will gain attention and followers who will help push up your online popularity- which in turn will raise your brand awareness!

There are many ways to market through social media. Some of the most common strategies include:

Creating an account on a site such as Pinterest or Instagram

Joining groups related to your field or area of expertise

Starting discussions and responding to comments and messages

Posting pictures and/or videos of yourself or your organization

These types of advertisements are great because they do not cost anything extra to run. Even if you are just starting out, there are plenty of free ways to get started like posting about relevant topics, linking to other pages and apps, and gathering influencers to collaborate with you.

The more involved you become with social media, the better it will be for your business.

TV marketing

Recent developments in television advertising include features that allow for more targeted advertisements. Technology such as dynamic creative, interactive content, video-based ads, and personalization have all been integrated into commercials to make them more effective!

TV advertisers are now able to create what they call “influencer campaigns” which feature products that appeal to individuals with similar characteristics or traits. For example, an advertiser may target people who like chicken dishes, so their campaign includes a commercial for chicken pasta. (Aww, how sweet!)

This type of advertisement is designed to connect with your audience, not just tell you about a product. Rather than simply advertise a product, these marketers use those similarities to get emotional responses from viewers. This seems particularly important given our increasingly media saturated society!

This article will discuss some ways that influencers use technology in advertising, why it’s important, and how you can use this information to market for your business.

Out of home marketing

OOH (also known as out-of-home advertising or mobile ads) is an effective way to market your business! This includes billboards, bus shelters, taxi windows, train displays, and more.

Many brands use media such as billboards, buses, trains, and taxis to promote their products and services. It’s a very cost-effective way to advertise as you can target specific audiences, and you only pay for what you gain exposure for.

Businesses have used this method for years, but it was mostly focused on static advertisements. With the rise in smartphone usage, however, OOH has become much more interactive.

Interactive advertisements may feature videos, animations, applications, or even games that encourage people to visit a certain site or perform a particular action.
