Recent developments in movie rating systems have ushered in an era of constant media exposure. Gone are the days when people could watch movies without knowing their MPAA (Motion Picture Association of America) classification. Now, everyone has a chance to see a new film before deciding if it is fit for you to enjoy.

The most popular system comes from the organization known as The Motion Picture Association of America or simply referred to as “the VMA”. This organization assigns movie ratings ranging from Gutter Ball (restricted films with no blood or sex) all the way up to Best Film (think Million Dollar Baby).

A few notes about this information: firstly, these ratings apply only to cinema viewing. You can still view a movie at home whether it has been rated R-Rated, PG-13, PG, Mature, or even Animated!

Secondly, while some may think that these ratings signify what kind of content the film contains, that isn’t exactly true. A film can contain very little action and be given an intense violence rating, or a completely graphic scene that doesn’t meet the criteria for nudity but features strong language and/or drug use. These things make the movie more interesting, not less!

Thirdly, while there is an overall rating level, none of the individual components of the movie get assigned specific numbers.

There is no denying that The Avengers was one hell of a movie! Not only did it win several awards, including Best Picture at this year’s Academy Awards, but it also broke many box-office records. Their strength comes from using technology infused into their bones and muscles, giving them superhuman levels of power.

One such agent is Lockjaw, a super intelligent robotic dog that accompanies Tony Stark when he needs extra protection or surveillance. He eventually becomes a member of The Avengers after saving Steve Rogers’ life during his mission to infiltrate Hydra.

The highest grosser of them all is without question, the movie that has spent the most amount of time in theaters and still rakes in money years later! This movie is guaranteed to make you laugh every single time you watch it.

It’s called Meet the Fockers and it is one of the funniest films ever made. It was released in July 2009 and just last month it made its debut on Netflix where it became very popular.

The film follows two middle aged men (played by Ben Stiller and Robert De Niro) who hire an inexperienced young woman (Mila Kunis) as their assistant so they can look more successful.

But things get complicated when she realizes her life has been staged and she wants nothing to do with either of them. A lot of hilarious events unfold as these two mismatched people work together to try and win back her trust.

Many critics agree that this movie deserves its place at number one on our list because it makes for great entertainment no matter what age group you are. There are many parts which have become comedy classics such as “I want to suck your boobies like white balls of cream” or “What happened to my penis?”

So if you need some funny relief, let yourself be distracted by the antics of these two characters and enjoy the ride.

The most popular films in the history of cinema are definitely not your average movie. They’re so well known and loved that they get discussed beyond their initial release. Many people have discussions about what makes them special, and why you should watch them if you want to understand more about filmmaking.

The other night, I saw one of the best movies of the year. It was called Get Out.

I’m going to get all dramatic here for a second. This movie made me cry. A lot. Not just little salty tears like when you find out someone got hurt in a relationship or something similar happened in your life, but big oozy waterfall type tears.

It’s hard to describe what it is about this film that makes you break down like that, but there are some major themes in there that really hit home with people. People who have been through tough times themselves, or who have experienced bad things happen to them.

This past summer we had so many great movies! Some were even considered good like The Conjuring 2, Wonder Woman!, A Quiet Place!, and The House with the Haunted Door!. But one dud was too hard to forget!

The film that got our vote as worst movie of the year is called The Emoji Movie. What makes this movie so bad is not only how poorly it was made but also how little content it has. It is very short and there are no real characters other than emoji ones.

It seems like the whole movie is just about every emoji going through their day and talking to each other. There is nothing more to say or add about any part of the movie aside from it being totally boring.

Many moviegoers’ favourite things to watch have been cancelled or postponed due to the spread of coronavirus. This is bad for them, as they want to enjoy these films!
